Tarsha Calhoun
Board Chair
Tarsha Calhoun, Founder and CEO of E.AT. Away the Weight, LLC is known as a Lifestyle Weight and Wellness Consultant. Her purpose in life is to serve millions of professional women around the world who have given to the extreme and now find their health, weight and happiness suffering. They are seeking a lasting solution to successfully managing their weight and wellness.
Tarsha is a dynamic transformational speaker and has co-author two Amazon best selling books. Many refer to her as a triple threat in the health industry. She is seasoned with compassion, experience, and leadership skills which enables her to get the job done. Tarsha background includes 17 years of working as a Registered Nurse. She has two Masters degrees in nursing. She is a Certified Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist.
L. Denise Williams, MBA, CPHM
Vice Chair
Denise is the Director of Supplier Strategy & Management. She is resilient, resourceful, nimble and an expert in leveraging her network. She has more than 19 yrs. experience in Health Care Management to include Case Management, Condition Management, Employer Incentive Programs, Client Reporting, Implementation and Supplier Management. In her current role, Denise manages a multi-million-dollar portfolio and is responsible for managing the relationship for more than 50 vendors which includes Performance Management, Contract Evaluation, Vendor Onboarding, Budget Management, and Strategy. Over the years, Denise has acquired an array of experience and built relationships across HCSC and believes in the power of collaboration. She’s a Champion for Diversity and Inclusion and has served on several committees both within her organization and the community.
Jacqueline Shepard
Board Treasurer
Jacqueline Shepard, a Georgia native that has over 20 years of sales, marketing, operations, and leadership experience. She graduated from an HBCU (Albany State University) with a Marketing degree. She is currently the Co-owner of Weekend Sprinter and FQ Tees. Jacqueline also serves as a strategic partner for Versuscompany.com. She has received several awards for her sales and merchandising achievements.
Jacqueline is known by many that have worked alongside her as a servant leader. She believes in empowering others to be their best while achieving their desired goals. As a board member of BRP-Dallas, Jacqueline’s goal is to help this great non-profit organization achieve its mission of helping young girls and women reach their full potential.
Nakia M. Payne
Board Secretary
Nakia M. Payne, is a native Houstonian with a B.A. in English with a concentration in Literary Studies from the University of Houston. A seasoned Corporate Training Manager and Instructional Design consultant, specializing in sales and soft skills, she received her C.A.S. and M.S. (2022) in Instructional Design Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University.
Currently, as a Senior Business Manager, Nakia writes ans designs national communications. Additionally, a passionate teacher with a penchant for creative and immersive experiences, she enjoys facilitating small groups and workshops with topics that run the gamut, for youth and adults alike.
A devout binge watcher of documentaries and who done-it series, Nakia enjoys anything on the water and listening to live music.
Tinia Collins
Board Member
Tinia L. Collins currently works for the Health Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducting contract fiscal monitoring for the independent living centers. She has served as the certified contract manager lead liaison training the Contract Administration Provider Monitoring units on the various federal waiver programs across the state of Texas.
Tinia’s strong leadership skills has nominated her to become an Aspiring Leader within the HHSC organization. She believes with her leadership experience she can make an impact in the world one day at a time.
